High Blood Pressure - 2 Main Effects
Saturday, September 13th, 2008High Blood Pressure can result in a range of troublesome health defects and illnesses. The main problems that Hypertension can bring about are specific organs losing the ability to function properly because of the lack of nutrients such as oxygen being pumped efficiently around the body. This can result in important organs such as the brain and the heart going into shock which can very well be fatal. The main high blood pressure effects are;
-Heart Attacks and/or Heart Failure. This happens when the blood flow to the heart is interrupted which can result from hypertension. It is the leading cause of death worldwide and affects millions. Hypertension has been identified as a direct variable in the occurrence of a heart attack.
-Strokes. A stroke is when the blood flow to the brain is suddenly interrupted; this can be caused from hypertension. It can result in the complete loss of automotive skills in one side of the body and has a high possibility of being fatal. Strokes are the second highest cause of deaths worldwide and are actually believed to surpass heart attacks in the next upcoming years. Strokes are a real risk to everyone with high blood pressure and are life changing events.
These are just two main high blood pressure effects, many others exist as well. It is up to you to change if you have high blood pressure because it just isn’t worth ignoring.
